Question 21/XVIII - Vocabulary for ISDNs

Considering

(a) existing Recommendations on terminology;

(b) the ongoing need to have a consistent vocabulary for digital
networks and ISDNs;

the following should be studied:

1. What further terms and definitions should be recommended for ISDNs
and associated digital network aspects?

Note 1 - Consistency with Recommendation G.701 should be maintained.

Note 2 - Consistency with the IEV is desirable.

Note 3 - Due consideration should be given to corresponding terms and
definitions in all of the CCITT working languages.

Note 4 - Alignment of vocabulary included in Recommendations I.430,
I.431, G.960, G.961 with existing vocabulary Recommendations should be
ensured.
