IMPORTANT UPDATE PLEASE READ
Chicago G8 and NATO Summits Planning

Equinix

February 16, 2012

Dear Customer:

The City of Chicago will be hosting the G8 and NATO summits May 15-22 this year. Both events will take place at the McCormick Place, which is located across the street from the CH1,CH2 & CH4 IBXs. Equinix is working closely with the various local and federal agencies, as well as the property landlord, on a plan to minimize the impact on our business and our customers during this time.

As these events can draw significant numbers of protesters, the city and federal agencies are planning to define a restricted access zone with a several block radius around McCormick Place. Our downtown IBX locations will be included in the restricted zone. Although this will provide very sound security for the building, there may also be delays in getting in and out of the zone as well as heavy traffic around the perimeter. As access inside this zone is expected to be fully controlled, Equinix anticipates that we will be required to supply the necessary agencies with our specific access needs prior to the event, including the names of all customers who are authorized to enter our facilities.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT CONTACT INFORMATION FOR YOUR COMPANY SUPPLIED TO THE AGENCIES IN CHARGE OF SECURITY, PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE, ADVISING US TO REMOVE YOUR NAME FORM THE LIST, NO LATER THAN MARCH 9, 2O12. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU OPT-OUT OF THIS LIST, YOU MAY BE UNABLE TO ENTER OUR FACITLITES DURING THE EVEN WINDOW.

The following is a summary of our activities:

1.Perimeter Access:

* We are reviewing customer access needs with the City of Chicago
* Equinix recommends that customers minimize visits during the event window or expect delays due to authorized access controls by the city
* We are reviewing customer outbound and inbound shipment needs with the City of Chicago. Equinix recommends that customers review shipping needs and minimize those as well during the event window.
* Equinix is coordinating with FedEx, UPS and US post office for delivery plans. These will be shared as information is made available to us.
* Your specific access needs will be reviewed upon request prior to the event

1. Equinix IBX Operations:

* Equinix is in contact with the local utility and they are in the process of developing their response plan. We will share this plan as it becomes available
* Fuel tanks will be topped off to minimize any delivery needs
* All emergency response plans are being reviewed
* Consumable, repair and maintenance inventory will be increased to minimize supplier shipments
* 24×7 technician, security and engineer staffing are being reviewed to ensure all services are provided without delays
* All service and equipment supplier names will be submitted to the city for access authorization needs
* Back up food supply inventory will be provided in case of lockdown emergency.
* Back up overnight arrangements will be made for staff in case of access lockdown scenario
* Twenty-four hour updates will be available through the Equinix Service Desk (ESD) and via email

Our goal is to provide continuous service and maintain business as usual for our customers in downtown Chicago. We will be ready with contingency
plans and will provide additional updates as information becomes available.

Sincerely,

Debbie Mullin
