Where does all this money come from anyways?

I have this bad habit of listening to NPR when I drive around.  It’s sort of like Jim Bradford’s bad habit of listening to Lars Larson and Rush Limbaugh just so he can scorn them later.

Honestly, I hate NPR. I’m actually listening to KLCC so that I can listen to Fresh Tracks, Blues Power, Dead Air, City Club of Eugene, Alternative Radio, Hearts of Space, New Dreamers, Liquid Beats, and if you have any idea what I’m talking about then you probably get the idea.

But NPR sneaks in during those hours and I listen to it anyways, unless 92.9 is actually playing music. And during one of those hours that NPR snuck in, I heard an interesting question from some NPR reporter. In reference to the bank “bailouts” and trillions of dollars pouring into the economy…

“Where does all this money come from anyways?”

It was more of a tongue-in-cheek, “This American Life” style reporting.  Hell, maybe it was This American Life.  None the less, the reporter’s first three ideas were correct.

1. It’s generated out of thin air by the Federal Reserve

2. It has no backing

3. It inflates the economy

So far, so good…

4. Who really gets hurt by this inflation? So far, nobody!

Nobody? You mean nobody really understands it. We’re too busy to care.

5. How long can we keep doing this?

And the conclusion…

6. Maybe we can just keep doing this forever

This is about as close to truth and honesty that you can expect from NPR.  Anyone who thinks we can do this forever needs to take a history lesson.  The first modern example is the Fall of the Roman Empire.

Failure is the inevitable by-product of human nature and Fractional-reserve banking. Without some form of discipline to temper our spending, we will inevitably commit to more than we can handle and we will lose stability. The economic cycles we see now are regular cycles that you can expect to see again and again.  They’ve been seen over and over.  It sounds like something new, that’s the gimmick.  While the supposed problems we face today seem new in light of the modern technology applied, the real problem is as old as the system itself.

The real reason for this out-of-control system to be running our world bank, our federal reserve, our country, usurping our laws, our banks and our lives isn’t exactly complicated. How else could you run a wholly unaccountable war machine?  Who is going to commit their wealth to continuous war? You’ve got to steal it. Napoleon lost in part because he was fighting England.  She was run in concert with the Bank of England, fractional-reserve bankers.  He was against the system and yet the system proved to be able to mobilize war resources that he couldn’t.  The promise of money is too great for people to pass up, the faith in the Bank of Nothing is high. And with Napoleon’s example, what leader would ever put himself in the same position again? A national leader’s term is short (some exceptions granted for Fidel Castro).  It doesn’t make sense to plan for the long term.  Sure, the Byzantine Empire lasted over 800 years with monetary and political stability.  But these days you may not be able to access your Google Calendar tomorrow, can you even fathom 800 years?

WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

I am reminded of this fucking piece of work each morning when I make a brief stop on the radio for NPR.

The presidential administration’s comments show what a dishonest, hyperbolic piece of shit that is in place, passing as the administration of the US Federal Government.  If President Obama had one shred of personal integrity he would have refused to accept the Nobel Peace Prize (this was clearly a symbolic bullshit gesture; the nomination deadline for the prize was exactly 11 days into Obama’s presidency, barely enough time to tell if he can tie his shoes, let alone make world peace).  Instead he gladly laps it up while leading the largest war machine in the world.  Obama simultaneously accepts the prize and announces an increase in Afghanistan troops (keep fighting, just move them from Iraq.)  The real news here? Alfred Nobel is spinning in his grave.  The Nobel Peace Prize is now printed on toilet paper.

But what does war in Afghanistan have to do with Israel? Nothing.  Of course, no propaganda piece on the middle east is complete without a mention of Israel/Palestine and their eternal conflict.  See, the Nobel Prize committee didn’t just want to thank Obama for Peace in Iraq and Afghanistan, but also in Israel.  After the Lesser Bush left office, Obama steps up to show us how it’s done.  He asks Key Middle East Leaders stop into Virginia for some Cheeseburgers with French Fried Potatoes.  The result? World Peace.

No, you say? You don’t remember the news announcing the resolution of Middle Eastern Conflict by Nobel Peace Prize winner and US President Barack Obama? That one slipped by me, too.

Each time I have the misfortune of landing my radio dial on the NPR news hour, I hear some variation of “President Obama is urging Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Mahmoud Abbas to reach a settlement agreement” and that “Peace talks are threatened by an ending Israeli settlement freeze” which ends, oh, tomorrow.  Or the next day.  Or who knows, because this is the same basic story that I’ve heard from the CIA’s drone service, day in and day out, for as long as I can remember.

Let’s have a look at those settlements, shall we?

Look at how those Palestinian people who want to kill the Israeli people live right in the middle of each other!  Or is it the Israelis who want to kill the Palestinians? Or is it all whitewash propaganda to help shape public perception so we all continue to fuel the endless war machine? These days, you win the toilet paper Peace Prize for sending the Israelis Federal Reserve credit to buy weapons with unconditional support (socially reinforced with a label of anti-Semitism for anyone who disagrees).  Slick move.

Don’t misinterpret me here – I’m not taking sides in the conflict, with the Palestinians or the Israelis.  They look the same, their well-educated know each others’ languages, and they are having each-others’ babies.

But that’s not the point. Why is this news constantly planted in our media and who is it trying to influence?  Everyone.  All countries in the world who depend on American dollars to back their currencies (and everyone else who trades with them) are paying for our wars through inflation.  It’s only natural that Americans themselves are paying.

The English designed our current system of Fractional Reserve Banking and Bretton Woods set the US into motion as the financial centerpiece.  The dollar is the pawn currency for control by the puppet masters.  In case you haven’t been paying attention, the bankers and the investment houses have more control than the voters and the politicians.  NPR never mentions that inflation is an invisible tax on everyone, stealing our wealth and redirecting it to corporate and military power.  We keep hearing about “taxpayers” money, the truth is that this doesn’t just affect taxpayers.  The “taxpayers” would be flat broke if the US Government was only stealing from them to fund its war spending.  We spread the hit across the entire world invisibly through constant inflation.  That, my friends, is how we get things done.

We’re simultaneously arming them, funding them, denouncing them, facilitating their wars, and pretending to facilitate peace. The personal equivalent would be having one wife and three mistresses, knocking them all up, and then giving them all guns to bring over next Thursday night at 9.  At the same time, you redirect everyone’s attention by campaigning against abortion and gays, you fellate anonymous gay lovers in public bathrooms, and finally you travel to Oslo to receive a Nobel Prize for Ethics and Integrity.  Do you get the picture yet?

The players are always in the same roles, ArafatAbbas, ClintonBushObama, SharonNetanyahu, you know the drill. Why do Israel and Palestine need the warlord, controller of world currency and largest weapons manufacturer in the world to help make peace? That’s like leaders of junkie gangs from Morocco flying to the opium fields in the Golden Triangle to hold a Narcotics Anonymous conference, setting goals for their clean and sober futures.  It doesn’t make any sense. It’s pure fantasy bullshit.

The US figurehead is not ever going to create peace anywhere because we are the fucking war machine and we are warriors.  It’s that simple.  We are the most  well funded terrorists in the world.  For that, I love being an American. It means I’m less likely to get terrorized by the US Army.  (If we had a draft, I’d serve in the Army.  I’m not a conscientous objector.  Fuck whoever is on the other end of my weapons.)

The Department of DefenseReuters saves the best part for last:

“He believes that part of the reason he won this award was not simply about him, it’s the fact that there’s a hunger around the world for constructive American leadership and this is an affirmation of that”

The world is just waiting for the US Army to come in and lead!  That’s what I’m waiting for.  Fuck the police, when’s the real action coming? I want 50 caliber helicopter-mounted Gatling guns shooting at my house.

Obama would also say that “in order to achieve our goals the United States has a responsibility to take action on the most pressing challenges that we face, but all nations have a responsibility as well,” the official said.

What the fuck does that even mean? The US has a responsibility to do what exactly? Create war? It makes me wonder, is there ever a chance that the rhetoric will ever sound more intelligent than this crap? I thought Obama was the intellectual? If I grow old and my brain atrophies into jello, will I just accept this garbage at face value?
